Boston Tournament Summer 2009
NECP will hold its annual summer tournament June 13-14, 2009 on Spy Pond in Arlington, MA (just outside Boston).
Players of all skill levels are invited to participate, and we invite friends and community members to come see what kayak polo is all about!

The tournament will be held at the Arlington Elks Lodge. The address is:

The Elks Lodge's bathrooms and event room are available to tournament participants and guests from noon - 10:30pm on Saturday. The event room is on the first floor, directly across from the main entrance. The Elks have also graciously agreed to allow us to use their lawn and back deck. On Sunday we are renting the bathrooms alone.

Registration
Registration is $30 per person, or $35 for non-ACA members. Register online.
Registration includes games, snacks all day Saturday, pitch-side continental breakfast on Sunday, and a BBQ dinner catered by Blue Ribbon BBQ on Saturday evening.
Spectators and guests are welcome! Admission is free. Guests can pay $10 to attend the dinner on Saturday.
Schedule
Games run rain or shine. We break for thunderstorms or other dangerous weather.

Woburn is a business district a few towns over from Arlington. It's an easy drive down Rt 93 to Spy Pond from Woburn. Hotels are plentiful, but if you're looking for nightlife, you'd be better off in Cambridge.

Local Hotels - Cambridge
Hotels in Harvard Square are around 20 minutes from Spy Pond. Kendall Square hotels are a bit farther. Both are on the Red Line of the Boston "T" (subway) and are close to downtown Boston.
Harvard Square is more expensive to stay in, but it has plenty of restaurants and nightlife. Kendall Square is more of a business/university district (MIT is in Kendall Square), but it's very close to Harvard Square and downtown Boston.
